What is a Downline and how do I get started?For those that don't know, a downline is anyone that you recruit to sell under you. This means that you are their leader. Its your job to teach them everything they need to know to succeed. They are looking to you for advice and help. You will be paid a commission for creating a Downline. You will make a percentage off of the sales of each Team Member you build. It is very easy to start recruiting. All you have to do is start advertising that you are looking for interested people to be Creative Memories Consultants. Of course you have to first become a Creative Memories Consultant yourself. You must know a little about the Home Party Consultant Business before you should start to recruit. Just like anything else, you should have a plan on how and when you will start to recruit. Who are you going to recruit?I think that its easier to recruit people that are outgoing. Someone that loves to go out and talk to people. It is also easier to recruit people that are in need of a little extra cash. College campuses are a great place to start. Most College students are active in their College. They may know a lot of people and may want to start their own business. Stay at Home moms are also great to recruit. Some stay at home Moms are anxious to do something. Even if they don't need the money, they may just want to do something productive. You could recruit people at your Job or living in Apartment Buildings. This can be done by hanging up a Flier that says something like "Need A Second Income?". You could also try employment agencies or places that you know people are looking for a job. Job Fairs are a great place to recruit. You could get a table and banner and start talking to people. The library is another great place. Try to recruit anywhere artsy people are. Your customers may be interested in becoming a Creative Memories Consultant so don't count them out. Don't forget to let them know that they could save money and get a Creative Memories Consultants Discount. Use Advertising Products you already ownOn your Creative Memories business cards, you could have your contact info on one side and then have a recruiting ad on the other. Put "Need extra Cash" labels on your catalogs. Of course you can put fliers on bulletin boards. Place "Help Wanted Ads" in the newspaper, on Craigslist and any where else you think you could. Use a car magnet or decal. Get the word out! Teach Them about the Creative Memories Scrapbooking BusinessYou should give each Team member your undivided attention. Motivate them, let them shadow you as you do your rounds. Let them help at a couple of your Creative Memories Scrapbooking "Get Togethers". The more professional and ready you make them, the more money you will make. Its an investment. Be someone that they look up to. You should always be professional. No Gossiping, no bad talk about your customers. The more professional you are, the more likely they will follow. They will see that being professional makes Great Money. A bad reputation will make you NO money. Get them educated on as many Creative Memories Products as possible. Incentives, discounts and PrizesKeep your Creative Memories Consultants motivated. Make sure they are not discouraged by sales or slow starts.Motivate them with prizes, discounts on certain items and recognition. Let them win a Yard Sign, Mug, or even Business Cards. Creating Successful Creative Memories Consultants can be time consuming. They will call you, they will need your advice and time. Be patient. Remember that they are new at it all.
